Murdoch Branch

The Murdoch Branch is a lively and dynamic group which holds monthly meetings with a range of interesting guest speakers. Meetings are open to new people interested in WA flora as well as regular members. Members are welcome to involved as much or little as they like or have time for. Our Committee enjoys making it a great experience for all – read about the team here.

The Branch hosts a number of spring walks at North Lake, Orelia and Samson Park, as well as other excursions. The group is also involved in revegetation activities at Ken Hurst Park, Leeming and along the wildlife corridor in Cockburn.

We have just launched a new Friends of Friends Group where we visit a different ‘Friends of’ groups each month to share experiences and knowledge, and to give a hand for a few hours with activities such as weeding, track maintenance, etc., followed by a cuppa and chat.

The Branch also offers a number of prizes to students.  Each year Murdoch Branch awards a top student studying Plant Diversity at Murdoch University and a top student in Conservation and Land Management course at South Metropolitan TAFE.

Come and say Hi at our monthly meetings held on the 1st Thursday of the month at the Wetlands Education Centre, Cockburn, Hope Road, Bibra Lake. Doors open 7.30pm.
