2017 State Conference and Annual General Meeting

The 2017 State Conference and AGM will be hosted by Merredin Branch on 24-25 June 2017.  Extract from the May Newsletter:

2017 State Conference and Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Society’s 2017 State Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be hosted by the Merredin Branch and will be held at the Tivoli Room, Cummins Theatre, 31 Bates Street Merredin WA 6415. The VERY small team at Merredin Branch has been very busy organising this event for us, so we hope to see a great turnout for the 2 days gathering: 24 and 25 June 2017. If you need accommodation then there is quite a choice in Merredin http://www.wheatbelttourism.com/where-to-stay/merredin/merredin-accommodation/ or contact the WSWA Office.

The registration form for both days is supplied with this Newsletter as a separate form. We need a Management Committee with at least 10 members and one from each Branch (and maybe two from some) would be fantastic. YOUR SOCIETY NEEDS YOU to assist with its continuation and its future. Nomination forms for Management Committee positions as well as joining one of our Sub Committees are included with this Newsletter as a separate form.

Branch requirements:
• Branches are required to nominate two (2) DELEGATES to the State Council and AGM and to send these nominations to the WSWA Honorary General Secretary, PO Box 519, Floreat WA 6014 prior to the commencement of State Council.
• Items for the Agenda and Branch Reports should be lodged with the Honorary General Secretary, preferably by email to wildflowers@ozemail.com.au or posted to the Wildflower Society Office at least 2 weeks prior to the State Conference/AGM, i.e. by Friday 9 June 2017. Reports and Agenda items received after this date will not be included in the Conference document folder.

No motions have been tabled for the 2017 AGM.  Business arising from the 2016 meetings includes: Mary Bremner Bequest
management.

All Wildflower Society members may attend the business session.  Only delegates, or their proxies, may vote at State Council.  Only financial members
(or proxies appointed in accordance with the WSWA Constitution) may vote at the Annual General Meeting.
