Kulin Wildflower Show & Bush Races & Rifle Range Orchids
October 5 - October 15
The Kulin Wildflower Society Branch are creating a display for the KULIN BUSH RACES WEEK. Follow the horseshoes on the pavements to check out special places.
There will be local wildflower arrangements in most businesses and a named display of Kulin’s colourful and intriguing flora in the KULIN GALLERY & STUDIO in the old Railway Station in the centre of town.
The Macrocarpa Trail is bursting into colour and is well worth a 1.1km wander.
The display will probably continue from 5 to 15 October – the races are 7-8 October
The Rifle Range is a mass of Calytrix, Verticordias, Stackhousia candles, Glischrocaryon and Dampieras. On the south-west edge of town but not on Sundays when the red flags are flying.
Orchids just opening: Vanilla and a range of Blue Suns, Microtis, Elbows and a few Prasophyllums. The Green Fringed Mantis and Purple Enamels are continuing despite warm days and strong winds..
