Trigg Bushland – Quarterly Guided Walks

31 December, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Guided walks of Trigg Bushland take place on the 5th Saturday of the month (approximately 4 times a year), jointly sponsored by the Wildflower Society of WA, Northern Suburbs Branch, and the Friends of Trigg Bushland.

Join us as we take a different path, depending upon the season, to explore the 170 hectares that is Trigg Bushland – Bush Forever Site 308.

Meet at 8am on the south side of St Mary’s Anglican School. (This is on the slip road at the side of the school, near where it meets Elliott Road.) Guided walks take approx 2 hours and are generally led by long-time members of WSWA/FoTB with extensive knowledge of native plants and bush ecology. The walk is at a gentle pace on established paths. Bring your hat and water bottle as well as your camera and binoculars.

Children are welcome, and it is a good opportunity to provide some training about quiet observation of wildlife and respecting the bush by staying on paths. Unfortunately, even well behaved dogs on a lead tend to frighten wildlife, and so we ask you to leave your dog at home.

For further information, contact us before the walk. And please take a look at the photos from our previous walks, see the Friends of Trigg Bushland website here.
