Kelmscott Agricultural Show 2023
Every year the Armadale Branch stages a wildflower display in the Flower Pavilion and sponsors art, photography and native flower arrangement prizes. The branch continues the tradition and has sponsored the following exhibition classes at the 2023 Kelmscott Agricultural Show.
Nice, but not a Western Australian Native:
A note for people who are asked to use Western Australian native plants in a project, artwork, floral arrangement etc.
We often see non-Western Australian natives used; people are misled by nurseries, florists and landscapers who erroneously promote these plants as native, or see them growing in bushland.

Native Flower Arrangement
Class 2503 – Rob Harington Award
Decorative arrangement of Native Western Australian Wildflowers, 3 or more species.
1st prize $30 (plus trophy), 2nd $15

Subject: Western Australian Wildflower in watercolour, oil, acrylic.
CLASS 10110 – Painting and Drawing Open Group J1 (Real life, not abstract)
Western Australian wildflower. Water colour, oil, or acrylic. Fine art.
1st prize – $50.
CLASS 10222 – Students Years 7, 8, 9
Drawing – W.A. Wildflower(s) – coloured
1st prize $20, 2nd $10
CLASS 10226 – Students – Years 10, 11, 12
Painting – featuring W.A. wildflower(s)

Photography
CLASS 11205 – Photography Amateur – Photography Single capture
W.A. Wildflower Natural Study – photo taken of flower in public reserve or open public space, (name and location of flower to be printed on back of photo).
1st prize $50
CLASS 11505 – Students Years 7 – 12
