August Perth Branch meeting featuring Kelly Shepherd

The Perth Branch will be holding our next General Meeting at the Subiaco Community Centre on Tuesday 10 August, featuring a presentation by Kelly Sheperd on new relationships within the family Goodeniaceae.
Dr Kelly Shepherd is a Senior Research Scientist at the Western Australian Herbarium. She is currently working on a range of plant groups in Western Australia, focusing on naming and describing new species of conservation concern. Her primary research interests include ‘salt-loving’ samphires (Chenopodiaceae), the genera Lasiopetalum and Thomasia (Malvaceae), and the ‘fan-flower’ family Goodeniaceae.
Doors open at 7.45 pm for an 8 pm start. The $3 door donation gets you entry into the night’s door prize.
