The 4.2 hectare Bob Blackburn Flora Reserve is located in Seville Grove. It is recognised as a ‘Forrestfield Complex Threatened Ecological Community’ – a community of species which was once common to the Swan Coastal Plain. However, now as little as nine per cent remains. The vegetation is dominated by a woodland of Eucalyptus marginata (Jarrah), Xylomelum occidentale (Woody Pear), Banksia with some Corymbia calophylla (Marri).
The Friends of Bob Blackburn Flora Reserve will be hosting a Clean Up Australia Day event in the reserve between 9:00 am and 11:00 am on Sunday 2nd March.
Meeting point is in the Armadale Fitness & Aquatic Centre Carpark, Champion Drive, Seville Grove.
