Guest Speaker – Behrooz Eslam – Native Verge Transformation
6 February @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Behrooz works as a relief teacher in primary schools in low socio-economic areas. He is starting a business to teach life skills through a gardening program in primary schools, particularly in lower primary. He is passionate about emotionally healing, and teaching good habits and passionate about conserving nature and wants to pass on this knowledge to young children.
After transforming a tired old grass lawn in just a few years into a thriving ecosystem of native plants in the front and back yards, Josh Byrne and the film crew from Gardening Australia made a film about his garden in October 2024.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my experiences with the wider audience and hopefully inspire others to have a go in their own property. I’m in Leda, Kwinana WA.”
Please join us to hear from our guest speaker and meet up with other nature and wildflower enthusiasts.
Entry only $3 with supper provided and door prizes. Members and non-members are welcome!
Doors open at 7:30pm at The Wetlands Centre Cockburn, Hope Road, Bibra Lake.
The Wildflower Society uses its independent technical knowledge of WA’s wildflowers to help you better know, grow, enjoy and conserve the wildflowers of Western Australia.
