Roz studied Microbiology at UWA and then became an Ecologist, as how everything fits together and looking at the BIG PICTURE of ecology is much more interesting for her than working on just one aspect.

She was the Community Education officer for the Perth Urban Bushland Fungi Project for 10 years and really enjoyed working with the public at the WA Herbarium and raising awareness of the importance of fungi in ecosystems

With her fellow mycologist, Sapphire McMullan Fisher, they researched and wrote Fungi4Land, which is currently with the publisher. This book is a guide to incorporating fungi into land restoration and will be out soon.
