‘Spring into Armadale’ ramble – Connell Avenue Reserve
12 October @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Wildflower ramble through 19 hectares of bushland. Connell Avenue Reserve (Bush Forever Site 061) is located at the western section of the Banyowla Regional Park, which is exceptional for its varied plant communities. It is an area remarkably rich in a wide variety of wildflowers in what is a transition zone between the vegetation of the coastal plain and that of the scarp and Darling Range.
A significant species in this reserve is Jarrah Eucalyptus marginata ssp. elegantella.
Paths to be walked are easy, although sandy in parts.
Meet at the end of Cockram Road, Kelmscott – from Connell Avenue turn into Brookside Avenue, right into Greener Way, left into Ciro Road then right into Cockram Road.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring water.
The Wildflower Society uses its independent technical knowledge of WA’s wildflowers to help you better know, grow, enjoy and conserve the wildflowers of Western Australia.
