Walk – Lloyd Hughes Park

Lloyd Hughes Park, Kelmscott – wildflower ramble
Lloyd Hughes Park on Martin Street, Kelmscott is 17.7 ha in size and is part of the Banyowla Regional Park. The park straddles the boundary between the Ridge Hill Shelf and the Darling Scarp soil types where the vegetation is dominated by Marri woodland on the lower slopes, Wandoo woodland on the upper reaches and Flooded Gum woodland along the creek line.
Meet at 9:00 am at the end of Marmion Street, Kelmscott (a cul-de-sac off Martin Street). Moderate walking, steep terrain in places – approximately 1.5-hour walk. Dress for the weather conditions on the day and wear suitable footwear. Bring own water and snacks.
