September 2 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Armadale and Gosnells regions are blessed with numerous large bush reserves, many of them cared for by local volunteers.

Harrisdale Reserve (Bush Forever Site 253) is a stunning reserve with some outstanding features still in pristine condition.

Harrisdale Swamp is approximately 100 hectares of parkland managed by Parks & Wildlife Service as part of the Jandakot Regional Park. The areas of Banksia Woodland, Shrubland and Wetland contain a very large number of species of native vegetation. It is habitat for Quenda and kangaroos, many species of birds, lizards and frogs, and innumerable species of invertebrates. Every month there are numerous different native species flowering in a constantly changing mosaic which is at its peak in Spring.
