John Davey Library (post-fire)
The John Davey Library was formerly located at the Armadale Environmental Centre, Bedfordale. It was a comprehensive library comprising just over 700 titles. Unfortunately, on 19th October 2025, the library along with display photographs and pictures, pamphlets, gazebos, banners, display panels and much more were completely destroyed by fire.
Many Wildflower Society members and members of the public have generously offered some books to the Branch, which is much appreciated. At this stage we are still in negotiations for temporary accommodation to hold meetings for the Branch and other local environmental groups. This means we have to hold back for a short while in accepting book donations until we decide the method and location of storage of the books whilst a replacement building is organised.

Meanwhile, for those kind folk who wish to donate books, we have a PDF list of the books we have lost and would like to replace, along with any book related to WA flora or the WA landscape. The PDF list is at the following link:
Library listing Armadale John Davey Library – 2025-11-07
Titles are sorted alphabetically by author and are classified according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) class number. The version date is at the bottom of the last page.
Green highlight: indicates donation received or donation pledged. Red text: indicates book/title that has been lost due to the fire.
You can email a list of any books you wish to donate to the Armadale Branch at: armadale.branch@wildflowersocietywa.org.au so arrangements can be made for collection/delivery.
Thanks in anticipation ……
