Vic Semeniuk : Geodiversity underpins Biodiversity
10 November, 2016 @ 7:15 pm - 8:30 pm
Or how plant communities respond to the substrate they are growing on.
Vic Semeniuk is a well known and respected Environmental Consultant and will be discussing how the ground underneath affect the plant species composition above ground. He will ague that ecological types should be classified according to their response to habitat diversity and the underlying soils and rocks that they grow on, rather than the composition of the dominant plant species. There is also the interaction of the plants with their growing medium and how they change the habitat above and below ground.
