Good to see Goodeniaceae

6 October, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Goodenia family contains many well-known plants including Leschenaultia (L. biloba is the logo of our Society), Scaevola and of course Goodenia itself.

Prof. Jim Barrow – Senior Principal Research Fellow at School of Plant Biology knows them inside out and will present the Goodeniaceae from its less known side.

It occurs in all states of Australia, and a few species have found their way “overseas”. As is not unusual, it is well represented in Western Australia, with some genera occurring only here. Several species have been adapted to gardens (and many more could be).

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Door opens at 7.30 for the Jim’s talk starting at 8pm. Refreshments provided. Come, learn, chat and mingle.
