13 July, 2021 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
The Perth Branch will be holding our next General Meeting at the Subiaco Community Centre on Tuesday 13 July, featuring a presentation on Cape Arid “An Unrecognised National Biodiversity Hotspot” by guest speaker Greg Keighery.
Greg Keighery was a Senior Principal Research Scientist in the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. A botanist in the biogeography program, he was largely responsible for regional-scale surveys to establish conservation networks and has undertaken biological surveys throughout most of Western Australia. Prior to working with DBCA (and previous incarnations of the same), Greg was the Biosystematist at Kings Park and Botanic Garden. He has published over 500 papers and articles on the biology, ecology and taxonomy of native and weedy plants of Western Australia.
Doors open at 7.45 pm for an 8 pm start. The $3 door donation gets you entry into the night’s door prize.
The Wildflower Society uses its independent technical knowledge of WA’s wildflowers to help you better know, grow, enjoy and conserve the wildflowers of Western Australia.
