Rafflesia & Knowledge of other Parasitic plants
25 May, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
$2.00Dr Neville Marchant has always had an interest in parasitic plants and travelled to Sumatra with some Kings Park colleagues in the hope of seeing the flowering of an extremely smelly plant- Rafflesia arnoldii (often referred to as the Corpse Plant due to the smell it emits during its 3-6 days of flowering). They did in fact see this plant and Neville with share with us the journey, occasion and knowledge of our own parasitic plants.
The Wildflower Society uses its independent technical knowledge of WA’s wildflowers to help you better know, grow, enjoy and conserve the wildflowers of Western Australia.
